GIT-03 — Portfolio quality and originality
Short answer
GIT-03 measures the originality of pinned and recently updated repositories: fork ratio, coursework/clone naming patterns, and missing READMEs or descriptions. A profile made of homework and clones reads as "has never built anything alone".
On the profile
- react-tutorial
- homework-3
- todo-app-clone
What it should be
- shift-planner — README + demo + commit 3 weeks ago

What it checks
- Fork ratio and low-originality naming (tutorial, homework, clone, todo-app…)
- Share of repos with a README and description
- Repos with commits in the last six months
Why it matters
Repos with empty READMEs and no description make it impossible for a hiring manager to understand the project — they open it and close it again.
How to fix it
Pin 4–6 genuine projects. Each pinned repo needs a clear description, a README with setup and screenshots, and a commit within the last six months. Archive or privatise coursework and clones.
Frequently asked questions
Should I delete coursework repos?
Archive or privatise them instead. Keep only defensible projects pinned.
