MEC-07 — File name
Short answer
MEC-07 inspects the uploaded file name. Generic names such as "cv.pdf" or "document-final(2).pdf" get lost in a recruiter’s download folder, and some ATS engines pre-fill the candidate name field from the file name.

What it checks
- Whether the name contains your first and last name
- Generic patterns (cv, resume, document, final, copy)
- PDF extension
Why it matters
A recruiter’s downloads folder holds dozens of files called "cv.pdf"; yours gets lost or overwritten. Some systems copy the file name straight into the candidate name field.
How to fix it
Name the file "First-Last-CV.pdf". Send PDF unless the posting explicitly asks for DOCX.
Frequently asked questions
What is the right file name?
