ASO-03 — Missing measurable outcome
Short answer
ASO-03 is the heaviest leg of the ASO model: does the bullet answer "what changed?" with a number? Without a percentage, duration, amount of money or count, the bullet is a job description. A measurable outcome is the single concrete argument a recruiter passes to the hiring manager.

What it checks
- A result expressed as percentage, duration, currency or count
- A causal link between action and result
- Share of bullets without an outcome — the penalty is proportional
Why it matters
A bullet without a result is a duty, not an achievement. It repeats the posting back and differentiates nothing — and it is the evidence base for your salary negotiation.
How to fix it
End each bullet with the answer to "what changed?", in numbers: percentage, time, money or count. If you cannot recall exactly, give a defensible range (~30%). Formula: [strong verb] + [what] + [at what scale] → [measurable outcome].
Frequently asked questions
Does every bullet need a number?
Not every one, but most. The penalty is proportional: 3 of 12 bullets without an outcome costs a quarter of the weight, not all of it.
What if the work cannot be measured?
Use a proxy: time saved, defects reduced, users covered, onboarding shortened.
